a-spec points

To get the most A-Spec points out of a race and still have an advantage over the rest of the field you are up against, do the following to your car. Equip the following:

You can also configure the "Auto" setting on the "Transmission" option under "Setting" without losing A-Spec points.

Note: Do not do any weight reductions. This will cost you A-Spec points for every race and is irreversible. For example, if you start a race that is worth 108 A-Spec points, doing a Stage 1 Weight Reduction will cost you about 17 to 20 A-Spec points, bringing the total down to 88 to 91, and so on for Stages 2 and 3.

If you have already done a weight reduction to the car that you are in, you can lower the quality of the tires currently equipped to bring the total back up to the race's original amount and/or more. However, lowering the tire quality greatly reduces the chances for success. For example, if you have S2 Tires equipped with a Stage 1 Weight Reduction and only get 84 A-Spec points for the race, try to drop the tire quality down to maybe a S1 or N3 tire to get more A-spec points for that race.

Weight - the heavier the better. If you have a vehicle that weighs more, it will be harder to turn and the acceleration will be slower. With the Ballast Weight (settings), you can add up to 200kg to the vehicle. Also, under "Other" in the tune shops, there is the Weight Reduction. This will reduce the A-Spec Points and cannot be undone. Once applied, it's there to stay. (http://www.jaxchess.org/home/CLES/index.html)
